This exterior renovation centered on bringing the pool area into better alignment with how the homeowners actually wanted to use their outdoor space. The old pool fence had seen better days. We replaced it entirely with cedar shake siding and matching trim that tied the whole perimeter together visually.

The existing wood walkways connecting the house to the pool had deteriorated beyond repair. We tore them out and built new pathways, this time thinking through traffic patterns and durability. We added concrete throughout the pool area where it made sense, creating better flow between zones that feels integrated rather than tacked on. The concrete work shifted the entire aesthetic from tired to intentional.

Landscaping came next. Strategic plantings softened the hardscape and gave us natural breaks between entertaining areas and quieter spots. We mapped out additional seating and gathering zones that would work for both intimate evenings and larger groups.

We used the corner area under the deck to add an outdoor bar. We built it out with televisions mounted for game days and summer nights, turning dead space into the kind of gathering point that changes how people use their property. The whole project took disconnected outdoor elements and wove them into something cohesive that actually functions that renters love!.

We were able to preserve most of the pool deck. By creating a cedar shake solid fence with the new cedar siding, we were able to create a uniformed look. New wooden pathways and concrete areas created a better flow and more purposeful areas for seating. We also were able to incorporate a simple bar area using the corner of the house under the 2nd floor deck complete with televisions.
